How does Children’s Harbor make a difference? Children’s Harbor ensures that brothers and sisters, as well as pregnant or parenting teen moms and their babies are able to live together in a safe and loving home while in foster care. Our Family Strengthening Program sends family support counselors into homes throughout Broward County that are experiencing personal crisis to help support, stabilize and prevent the breakdown of the family. Our Independent Living teams provide housing, life skills and wrap around support to teens who are aging of foster care to guide them towards self-sufficiency and independence. We Helped Over 775 Children Last Year What We Do 43 sibling groups of brothers and sisters were able to remain together 28 Teen moms were given the coaching and parenting skills that they need to become the best mom that they can be for their baby 200 Teens in foster care were provided with housing, life skills and wrap around support to guide them towards self-sufficiency and independence OUR STORY How does Children’s Harbor make a difference?
